YAH's Eats
Saved from Waste—Nourished with Grace.

Turning Surplus Food into Community Nourishment
YAH's Eats is a food rescue initiative of Friends of Jesus Community Services that helps redirect usable surplus food from businesses and other food donors to individuals and households in our community.
Through food recovery and community distribution, we help reduce food waste while making additional food resources available to our neighbors. What might otherwise go unused can become a meaningful source of nourishment for someone else.
How YAH's Eats Works
Food Recovery
We coordinate with food donors to recover usable surplus food that might otherwise go to waste. Donations may include prepared foods, groceries and other food items.
Community Distribution
Recovered food is made available to local households through community distributions. Depending on the donation, food may be chilled or packaged for distribution.
Community Partnerships
We welcome opportunities to work with businesses, organizations and volunteers who share an interest in reducing food waste and helping address food insecurity in our community.
Nourishing Our Neighbors
Food availability depends on donations, so the type and quantity of food offered may vary from one distribution to another. While we cannot guarantee a particular selection or ongoing availability, we strive to make the most of every donation we receive.
Our goal is simple: to put good food to good use and make a practical difference in the lives of our neighbors.
Get Involved
YAH's Eats depends on community participation. Businesses with surplus food, individuals interested in volunteering, and organizations interested in collaborating can help make food recovery and redistribution possible.
Together, we can reduce waste, share resources and nourish our community.
