Friends of Jesus Community Services & Campus Ministries
in Glassboro is a 501(c)(3) faith-based nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide community services for the benefit
and betterment of Glassboro, NJ, and to offer spiritual support
and guidance to Rowan University students.

Our ongoing commitment is to be an authentic beacon of light in Glassboro through acts of Christian service, in fulfillment of Jesus’ two greatest commandments: loving God and loving our neighbor.

Jesus said we are His friends if we follow His commands. While no one can follow Jesus’ commands perfectly, we aim to consistently abide by these directives to lead people to Jesus.

Our motto “Overcoming Evil with Good,” taken from Romans 12:21, expresses our desire to see the reduction of hatred, abuse, mischief, theft, vandalism, violence, deception, etc. as a direct result of our efforts in the community & on campus.

Although we are a small nonprofit, if you have a need, please let us know, and if we’re able to meet it, we will do so, irrespective of your religious belief.

WE ARE THE FRIENDS OF JESUS.

Jesus said we are His friends if we do what He commands.

WE OBEY HIS COMMANDS.

We introduce people to Jesus.

We provide:

  • The following are some examples of how we engage with the community:

    COMMUNITY SERVICES

    • Community cleanup

    • Community meal

    • Community education

The following are some examples of how we assist individuals and families:

    INDIVIDUAL SERVICES

    • Emergency food/clothes

    • Emergency assistance

    • Emergency support

  • Organizations that conduct research have found that many college-aged students leave the faith or drop out of church. While we may be unsuccessful in persuading them to return to church, we can disciple them if given the opportunity. They will benefit from a caring Christian mentor who will teach them a biblical worldview and hold them accountable.

EVENTS CALENDAR

OUR MISSION

At FOJCS, we take Jesus’ words seriously.

We obey Jesus in serving as a beacon, preventing the world from going completely dark.

Shining our lights.

Salting the earth.

We obey Jesus by practicing a lifestyle of being “in” the world, but not “of” the world.

Loving our neighbors.

We obey Jesus by following His second greatest commandment, to love our neighbor as ourself.

Loving our enemies.

We obey Jesus by doing good to those who persecute us and by praying for them.

Your greatest need is to understand the truth about your spiritual condition—that you were born dead—and that God Almighty wants to make His temple inside of you, filling you with His Holy Spirit and transforming you into a clean vessel who is no longer dead, but alive, via a spiritual rebirth.

Once justified, you’re adopted into God’s family, which guarantees that upon your death, your soul will instantly go to heaven, where a new incorruptible body awaits you. Hallelujah, death has lost its sting!

The Lord Jesus Christ, who was willingly crucified on a cross, and miraculously rose from the grave on the third day, is the only way to God. Invite Him into your life today, for tomorrow isn’t guaranteed. This is an exclusive offer which will eventually expire if not redeemed. We want to see you in heaven.
